How difficult is it to import silver jewellery from the Far East?

How do I  clear silver jewellery through customs and pay the Import Duties?

We provide all the correct documentation required for easy customs clearance

When we ship by UPS, then UPS  usually handles the customs clearance for you and delivers the goods to your address. They will contact you beforehand to advise the amount of duty to be paid. 

When we ship by EMS or registered airmail post the exact import proceedures vary in different countries but usually your local post office will either deliver the goods to you or ask you to collect from their local office and pay any tax due. ( In many countries smaller value parcels often get delivered by the post office without the receiver  being asked to pay any duty whatsoever - however we cannot guarantee this )

But whichever way you want us to ship, the customs proceedures especially in developed countries,  are usually simple and straightforward.

What about VAT?

VAT  (or Sales Tax )  is  payable on silver jewellery in many countries but this  is  usually reclaimed/offset by registered VAT  or Sales Tax  traders in the UK,  EU,  USA   and other countries in exactly the same way as for other VAT or Sales Tax  invoices issued by your local suppliers.

How  will my order be Packaged?

Each individual piece of jewellery is packaged in a individual plastic bag.  Silver jewellery orders are then packed in bubble wrap plastic and are then packaged professionally using appropriate materials depending upon the size and weight of the parcel.  

How many days for delivery ? 

Usually 4-5 days by UPS .

Up to 10 days by EMS and up to 21 days by registered airmail post although deliveries to western and more developed countries are usually faster .

I  have never purchased silver jewellery from you before, how can I trust your company ?

We always advise new customers to start with small orders so that they can judge the quality of our goods and services while getting to know us better. Do you manufacturer yourself?

We do not have any overseas wholesale silver jewellery distributors  as all our sales are made direct to customers from the Far East . This way, we can offer the most competitive prices.  However, we always try to be open minded to specific proposals.

How do you maintain a good selection of ‘one of a kind’ pendants  I purchased some items last month but now I want to reorder I cannot find similar items on your website   –  can I special order?

We  try to have at  least 150  of these types of  hand made items  on display on the website at any given time.. But keeping supply in balance with demand during busy periods can be a challenge. If you can not see the type of  stone  that you require on display please contact us for updates and more information. What is the country of origin and what is the quality of the silver jewellery and gemstones?

Virtually all our plain silver jewellery as well as as silver jewellery with semi precious stones is made in Thailand. 'One of a kind'  items are mostly made in India. Unless otherwise stated, all silver jewellery offered on this website  is manufactured  from 92.5% silver and is  marked  “925” and unless stated otherwise all gemstones are Genuine (not synthetic).
